Here's the Questions:
- How do you know when you're loved?
- How do you show love?
- Deeds and Favours. (Goldfish)
- Words of approval. (Dog)
- Physical contact. (Cat)
- Quality time. (Budgie)
To give you an example, physical contacts can be expressed with the behaviors of cats.
Cats are almost exclusively creatures of physical contact.
You don't really have to feed them, if a cats hungry they'll kill something.
Cats don't really pay attention to what you say.
Cats just want to be rubbed and scratched. That is how they feel loved.
How does a cat express love?
By rubbing against you. Touch me! Love me! They're saying.
Some people cannot "speak", "cater" or even understand all of these different dialects of love.
It's never to late to learn and understand however, otherwise you'll have to hope you find someone who loves like you.
I believe when in a new relationship everyone expresses all of these quality of love, but eventually you're left loving how you want to be loved, and if that's you saying "I love you" and them not believing because you don't spend quality time with them, then it's not really working.
I've thought about it long and hard and I've decided I can give love in all of these dialects,
but when it comes down to it, I've decided I express love through physical contact primarily and verbally with words of approval secondary.
So I'm guessing that's the way I express love mostly.
Please do tell me how you think you fit this criteria!
I'm really interested.
In conclusion: Cuddles and compliments make my world go 'round.

I think everyone expresses love differently, but they usually try and cater to what their partner expects and are rarely true to themselves. So everyone is trying to please others even if they don't even know what pleases them themselves.
I could write more but I do not find this specific topic that interesting.
Love and affection are two different things and can cats really love? humans made up the word to associate with the feelings they feel for each other due to hormones in the brain. it is most likely against our evolution to be monogomous as diversity is reached through many sexual partners so much more easy. our whole existence is a contradiction because we try to justify the feelings we think we have and we only have these feelings to attempt to find some solace in a pointless world.
rant.
Anon 1:
But maybe that's just YOU (and people like you) that only try to cater the other.
Thanks for your input but even though it doesn't ammuse you haha xxx

The cats thing was a way of explaining and relating.
I do agree with your last thing about solace in a pointless world, but you got to be positive.

^ haha if thats serious.
I like how you have explained this especially with animals you picked the right ones. Never really thought about it but i'm pretty sure i fit into every single one.
I'm a goldfish a couple of times a week either cooking my partners favourite meal or organising something he likes doing. He does the same for me quite regurly.
I'm a dog everyday lol sounds weird not going over the top but at the least i give one compliment a day i get this back in return.
I'm a cat mostly at night i cant go to sleep without cuddles anymore and when i come home from work and my partner does i need to give him a kiss and a cuddle.
Budgie is mainly a once a week thing its happened accidently everytime we have both come up with the idea of sitting at home watching movies or going out for a drive or whatever just the two of us not worrying about anyone else.
i have found someone who has the perfect balance to what i need and want out of someone special not over the top but its still there and i know im important and my partner knows his important it works well.
2 & 3 & 4
I think this is cute and so true :)
Im more like a cat i think, i always cuddle people and like to be close to things and people i love. I think also showing appreciation for people is important for me too like, I like receiving and giving little notes and gifts because it shows you're thinking about them and want to show love other than touching and stuff. I dont even know what im saying or if it makes sense haa, i just finished an exam that was braindead boring.
:)
