Not Anti-Feministic, not Misogynous... Just Rational.

Although... Feminism is something that grinds my gears, you can get over it now if you live in Australia girls.
We're all equal. If you don't think you're equal, then you never will.
As for the the petty socialistic complaints of a feminist, I would just like to say...
There are dumb girls, and dumb guys.
Girls should stop putting up with assholes and find a genuine nice guy, they do exist.
The same can be said Vice versa.
As for only females being called sluts thing...
Guys aren't sluts... they're legends.
Why?
Because guys *high-five* eachother for getting laid.
Girls however GENERALLY... choose to be be little snobs and bitch about someone having too much sex... most likely because they can't get any, or to try turn off other guys from getting with them.
Also girls... Don't think that a guy who has a past of a being an asshole towards girls is going to act different because you're 'in-love'... After a while true-colours will always shine through.
Drop the Ego's, the nastiness, the negativity.
Sex is natural.
Sex can be classy, or sex can be tacky... I guess it's how you express yourself and go about it that will impose judgements.
But I say... Fuck the judgements.
Orgasms rule.
This world could do with added endorphines.
Just remember wear a condom god-dammit!

Listen to whore to a chainsaw if you catch a disease guys... and remember... "Sluts were meant to be fucked" - Spencer.

really interesting post. That is so true about guys making having sex a good thing amongst other guys, and how girls see other girls having sex always in a negative light.

However I dont think that the reactions of peers is the only reason things are the way they are...

to generalise, i would say that girls are still brought up these days to be 'mummys little girl' and to act in a certain way, behaviour that is un-ladylike is frowned upon, because they are deviating from the supposed social norm..

where as boys can do anything and the general response would be 'boys will be boys'.. (atleast thats what i think..)

I have no idea why girls are so negative to other girls, but would you disagree that guys can also add to the "slut" stigma? its not like they have never called girls sluts also..

Yes it is a pretty generalizing blog... But that's life haha.
Yes I do agree that guys add to the girl/slut stigma... But I swear most the time there's a female that was behind that judgement and the guy was just very impressionable to attain smothers judgement.

Really, most guys who think of girls in terms of 'sluts' are actually just impressionable people and havnt made that opinion for themselves?? (sorry if im putting words in your mouth)

Im obvs not a guy so I dont really know how they think haha

Hahaha yeah I see what you mean.
No guys can come to that conclusion on their own.
But I was just making an observation on guys being impressionable as to what girls they like tell them so.

even though australians aren't subject to radical forms of male supremacy, polygamy and female genital mutation for example, female oppression still exists.. arising from the patriarchal ordering which structures gender roles.. which is then reflected in power positions, in political and familial structures. which is also reflected in the porn industry, which within the western world makes more cash money that hollywood. by simply viewing the titles of each pornographic film, overt male supremacy is promoted and thus legitimised. in turn legitimising the "rape fantasy." in addition it also generates an archetypal construction of how women should look and act.
the concept of girls being "pure" as opposed to a "slut" is not simply derived from the mentality of girls, it is complex and i believe it is more often than not, imposed by men. it is enforced upon women by society and it is derived from centuries of the dichotomous portrayal of women (virgin/whore), created by the bible for example. remnants of these ideologies pervade current social constructs.
perhaps on a very basic level the fact that patriarchy still exists in australia demonstrates a need for feminist thought in order to progress society through the generation of gender equality.
i dont mean to be laying into you in the slightest, just providing an alternate perspective.. i didnt mean to write so much.. i just find this topic of debate so very interesting.
