War on War.

I feel so much sadness for the Iraqi/Afghanistan people, and it just amazes me how so many people write off what's going on over there, and most people don't care because the propaganda has labelled the people of Middle East as terrorists.
The number of innocent civilians been killed hasn't even been recorded and its suspected the overall is between 200,000 to 1,000,000... (just Iraq) broad estimation as the military "aren't counting bodies"...
George Bush once mentioned it was 30,000... which is almost definitely far from the truth.
These poor people are getting slaughtered, their homes are being destroyed and destruction is everywhere.
And why! WHY are Americans STILL invading these countries, they aren't welcome and never were...
Apparently, Obama is also working on a timetable for withdrawing all U.S. combat units from Iraq by September 2010 and pulling out the rest of the U.S. force, currently about 14,000 soldiers, by 2012.
It pissed me off Australia had troops over there until mid-2008, all they're doing now is rebuilding the country they destroyed and why? To make profit most certainly! They hire construction companies owned by the richest of the rich, like the Rockerfellers, and the money goes to America... It's not helping Iraq at all, just helping them gain cheaper oil so they can greed even more money.
If your living in Australia/America or anywhere where you don't hear explosions and gun shots on daily basis then you really can't imagine life in Iraq, and I am making a presumption here as I too haven't been in their shoes.
It's so easy to turn a blind eye to such chaos when you don't experience it. Out of sight, out of mind right?
If you truly look into the lives of these people you can't help but feel sadness, imagine if America decided to invade Australia for some bullshit reason?
We has humans need to put a higher respect on life, not just our own and the people around us, but everyone you don't know. Something I find ironic is the fact that many Americans who support this war and don't care about the innocent blood being shed are fundamentalist Christians. Where do you think Jesus was from? Do you think he spoke English too? Plus do you really think Jesus would be supporting a war!? Sorry I don't mean to label I know it's not completely their fault but it's the truth.
Some people's vision of what's really happening in the world is so distorted that their whole universe is opposite of the truth.
What is truth? History is truth, actual event's that have happened over time, things that can be proved.
It's the stories in-between told by powerful people that distorts history which in turn distorts the truth.
Free yourself from the hatred of the middle east and realise the prejudice comes from a corrupt system of false realities.

another sad fact is the military are trained to shoot whoever is holding a gun who are classed as an enemy even if its a child. I asked someone who was being trained to go over to iraq if he really would do such a thing the answer was yes someone holding a gun is a threat whether they are 8 or 80 i have to protect me and the people im around i wouldnt hesitate i can understand that statement to a point but i really dont think that 8 year old completely understands what is going on the child is just trying to defend as well as their family their own fucking country its bullshit

You're right. A child wouldn't understand. They are at an age where the way they behave and their beliefs are purely the result of their upbringing. They are yet to gain their own.

On the subject of Afghanistan, what really annoys me beyond belief is people's dislike and loathing of the country in general. Why though? Aesthetically, the country used to be beautiful- and to it's own extent still is in places. It is the war, the hate, the ridiculous conflicts of religion that have torn down the trees, destroyed the houses and murdered the thousands; leaving bloodshed in place of the lucious grass that used to grow.
So many people label these places 'ugly', 'filth', etc. But look past what you see now, and think, why? It never used to be like this, and the people of these countries aren't the ones to blame. So how is this general dislike for their land right?
They are the ones whose lives are torn, whose days are spent in dread, waiting for the next stoning because of these ridiculous 'just' teachings in the Koran.
They are the ones who have to look around at the rubble that used to be their city, their house, their home. And others sit back in their war-free countries and speak so low of these people.
Where is the sympathy? And why is it replaced with such negativity towards these unfortunate people?
Surely all those who aren't in their position realise that they are not suffering and being attacked by choice?
Their land wasn't more or less demolished willingly.
Open your eyes people, look back to the origins, the reasons. See this country for what it used to be, not what it is now. Because what it was will be again, if we can just cast aside all un-just negativity, the dislike will subside, and the trees will grow again in time.

This subject always gets to me.
